This weekend was me, my bike, my guitar, and the gym. Got a lot of music in, got a good ride in, got some good workouts in, even read a little. Turned out really nice.

Proud to say this is a good friend of mine.
It makes me pretty happy that a 13 mile bike ride in about an hour is leisurely these days.
Guess what Mike & I did with our bikes yesterday.
I realized today that I probably don’t spend much time talking about myself because I find it inane when most people talk about themselves. Not my friends, of course, but I hear some people at work talking about what they had for lunch, television, or celebrity gossip (or worse, trying to talk about politics…) and I want to bang my head into my desk. And I really don’t want to be one of those people.
I realized a few days ago that, if it took me this long to get some semblance of a social life, I probably shouldn’t beat myself up too bad about the lack of any serious romantic life. It will probably just take some more time.
Mike texted me today and told me we are going to start working out together again soon. Made my month. Also, we are going for a bike ride on Saturday. Also, I think it is so awesome the way he is so matter-of-fact about doing things with me. It is not “Do you want to start working out again,” it is “We are going to start working out again.”
